Contact HMRC for advice on Self Assessment and to change your personal details.
HMRC webchat advisers will be available from 8am to 4pm on Saturday 31 January to deal with all Self Assessment queries.
Our phone helpline will also be open from 9am to 4pm on Saturday 31 January to provide Self Assessment support.
Our digital assistant is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Online
You can ask our digital assistant for help with:
- registering for Self Assessment
- ending Self Assessment
- filing your tax return and paying your bill
- appealing a penalty
- requesting a refund
- activation codes
If the digital assistant cannot help you, you can ask to transfer to a webchat with an HMRC adviser if they’re available.
